A SUCCESSFUL MIGRATION CONSISTS OF THREE PARTS: THE DISCOVERY PHASE, THE MIGRATION PHASE AND THE OPTIMISATION PHASE.
Discovery PHASE
The migration starts with a comprehensive survey to determine the potential of your current infrastructure for cloud migration in collaboration with Microsoft.
In the survey, we will work with you to identify your organisational readiness for cloud migration and the technical possibilities. The mapping will draw on best practices in line with the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) .
Depending on the customer segment and size, we are able to use different Microsoft support models to fund the clearing and migration work.
STEP 1
Readiness assessment assesses the readiness of the customer as an organisation to move to the cloud. Through an infrastructure survey , we will review your entire current infrastructure in terms of servers, disk systems and networks.
STEP 2
An analysis of the organisation's needs, challenges and opportunities for cloud computing.
STEP 3
An analysis of the costs of migration and the different options available for its implementation, including a 6R analysis, where systems are classified (Re-host, Re-platform, Re-factor/Re-architect, Re-purchase, Retire and Retain).
MIGRATION PHASE
STEP 4
The documentation and plan required for the next stage, including estimates of the methods of implementation of the main developments, including costs and possible support models.
We create a secure Landing Zone and migrate systems to the cloud according to the strategy planned during the discovery phase and modernise the "low hanging fruits" right out of the box.
Customized cloud management model we automate the creation of portable environments using IAC tools such as Terraform, which provides significant efficiencies and ensures modern maintenance of cloud services in the future.
OPTIMISATION PHASE
After migration, we move on to the optimisation phase, which will continue throughout the lifecycle of the system. In line with the cloud management model, this means, among other things, monitoring cost developments and exploiting potential new services as part of the system.
